Angry Crab Shack
Tucked away at 1530 S Castle Dome Ave in Yuma, Arizona, Angry Crab Shack brings a big personality and bold Cajun flavors to the desert Southwest. If you’re into messy hands, buttery seafood, and drinks that pack a punch, this place checks all the boxes. It's not your typical sit-down seafood spot - it's more of a flavor adventure wrapped in butcher paper and served with a side of fun.
Right when you walk in, the vibe hits you. It’s casual, colorful, loud in the best way, and designed for folks who want to crack, dip, and savor without holding back. Angry Crab Shack leans into that Southern seafood shack atmosphere, with communal-style dining and no-fuss service that lets the food do the talking.
Now let’s talk about the real reason people line up here - the seafood boils. The Shrimp & Crab Combo is easily one of the most crowd-pleasing choices on the menu. It comes served in a bag loaded with rich Cajun spices, garlic butter (if you’re smart), and that heat level you choose depending on how brave you’re feeling. Pair it with a side of bread for sopping up all that saucy goodness, and you’re already winning dinner.
Craving something crispy? The Calamari is lightly breaded, not greasy, and delivers that perfect crunch without losing the tender texture inside. It’s a solid starter to warm up your appetite before diving into the mains. And if you’re more into Southern comfort food, the Gumbo doesn’t disappoint either - hearty, loaded with flavor, and deeply satisfying.
For those who want something with claws (literally), the Snow Crab Legs offer that classic cracking-and-dipping experience. The meat pulls out clean, and with the right sauce mix, it’s pure magic. Want to go all in? Order the Full Lobster and don’t look back.
Their fried baskets also hold their own - the Fish & Chips Basket and the Scallops Broil Basket come hot and crispy, perfect for seafood fans who prefer their meals without the mess. And if you’re into something more creative, the Soft Shell Crab Sandwich delivers unique texture and flavor between two buns, with a Cajun twist.
Drinks? Oh, they’ve got character. The Cajun Bloody Mary turns up the heat while staying savory and balanced, and the Michelada is refreshingly tangy with just the right amount of spice. Great pairings when you're elbow-deep in shellfish.
One fun addition that makes Angry Crab Shack stand out is its approach to inclusivity. The restaurant provides a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. It’s also got a lively, no-frills atmosphere that welcomes families, date nights, or just a casual seafood fix with friends.
Another win? Customization. Whether you want your scallops grilled, your spice level low, or your boil smothered in extra garlic butter, the kitchen lets you call the shots. And unlike overly polished fine dining spots, here the experience is hands-on, interactive, and downright fun.
Angry Crab Shack isn’t trying to be fancy - it’s here to bring the bold, juicy, saucy seafood feast straight to your table with a side of attitude. If that’s your thing, don’t forget the bib. You're gonna need it.

My husband and I had a great time, our server was excellent. We did have a issue with our drinks, when we got our beer and it was warm, we talked to our server and she told us that the fridge was out which was a bit upsetting because we were not informed ahead of time. We did end up getting another drink and was able to get the beers off our bill. Overall nice experience food is EXCELLENT we had a Ib of Snow Crab, Naked Shrimp, Red Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Eggs, Trifecta Sauce Hot
